Canada residents have been limited in sourcing enzymes locally for their EPI pets, as the only Canadian Rx brand of pancreatic enzymes has been discontinued.
In late 2022, Canada Animal Health has approved PanaKare manufactured by Neogen Corp. in the USA as an Rx pancreatic enzyme supplement for use by prescription. However, like in the U.S., the price for this product is very prohibitive for the majority of pet owners.
A number of the OTC enzyme products listed on the Enzyme Brand Comparison and Emergency Enzymes pages are available for direct shipment from the U.S. and/or distributed by local firms within Canada.
The same holds true for Vitamin B12 products which may also be available from Amazon in Canada.
Canadian pet owners in need of antibiotics for SID/SIBO will need to work with their local veterinarian in obtaining a diagnosis and prescription for filling at a local pharmacy.
